Think you've written the next best-selling picture book manuscript? Need a little help refining the story or perfecting the rhyme and meter? A 2hr mentoring session with Mary can help you hone your craft, edit your story and ensure your manuscript is 'publisher ready' for submission.

With more than 10 years in the Publishing industry as an author (12 picture books and counting) as well as her roles as Creative Director and Managing Editor for two of Australia's most exciting indie publishers - Mary specialises in fun, rhyming stories that engage little people and nurture a love for reading.

Whether your manuscript is written in prose or rhyme - a 2hr one-on-one mentoring session with Mary includes:

• A comprehensive look at your manuscript covering audience awareness, impact and originality.
• Written assessment PLUS initial 30 minute zoom to discuss your written craft including clear direction for ways to refine and improve.
• Additional 1.5hrs of on-going mentorship via Zoom to help you refine your manuscript: character development, story strength, pace, story arc and rhyme and meter (where required).
• Honest feedback on the commercial viability of your manuscript including a guide to potential market depth, PR opportunities and potential publisher interest.
• A clear understanding of the publishing industry from someone who has experienced both the creative side (as an Author) and the publishing side (as a Creative Director/Managing Editor).
• Editing and preparation of manuscript for submission.
• Industry specific tips to ensure your manuscript or illustrations are considered for publishing.
